Normann Copenhagen proudly reintroduces Danish-Canadian designer Niels Bendtsen’s iconic Limit Lounge Chair – first conceived in 1974 and now reissued for a new generation. Originally developed in Copenhagen, it quickly gained international recognition. With this reissue, Normann Copenhagen revisits a design that speaks directly to today’s conversations around efficiency and longevity, finding renewed relevance in a contemporary context. The Limit Lounge Chair’s innate clarity of construction and singular material expression align naturally with today’s design landscape – proof that logic, when thoughtfully applied, does not age. Its ingenuity earned it a place in the permanent collection of the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) in New York. Decades later, its relevance feels undiminished.

The Limit Lounge Chair can be customized in a wide range of upholstery options and configured in modular compositions using a discreet connector system. For the first time, the postmodern design is also introduced in an outdoor version, upholstered in premium performance textiles from Sunbrella.
