Accessibility Statement

Design Public is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people with disabilities. We are continually improving the user experience for everyone and applying the relevant accessibility standards.

Measures to support accessibility

Design Public takes the following measures to ensure accessibility of designpublic.com:

  • Include accessibility as part of our internal policies and ongoing site development.
  • Employ continuous automated accessibility monitoring through Level Access, an industry-leading digital accessibility partner.
  • Conduct regular audits and remediation of accessibility issues identified through scanning and user feedback.
  • Provide accessibility training and resources for our team.

Conformance status

The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) define requirements for designers and developers to improve accessibility for people with disabilities. It defines three levels of conformance: Level A, Level AA, and Level AAA. designpublic.com is partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 level AA. Partially conformant means that some parts of the content do not fully conform to the accessibility standard, and we are actively working to address them.

Known limitations

Despite our best efforts, some content may present accessibility challenges. Known limitations include:

  • Text over photography: Some promotional banners display text over lifestyle images. We add dark overlays behind this text to maintain readable contrast, and we review these areas as content changes.
  • Third-party content: Portions of the site (such as embedded forms, search and filtering tools, and the cookie-consent banner) are provided by third-party services. We work with these vendors and apply our own fixes where possible, but some aspects are outside our direct control.
  • Product content: Our catalog includes products from more than 100 design brands, and some manufacturer-provided descriptions or images may lack complete alternative text. We correct these as they are identified.

Compatibility with browsers and assistive technology

designpublic.com is designed to be compatible with recent versions of major browsers (Chrome, Safari, Firefox, and Edge) in combination with common assistive technologies, including screen readers, screen magnification, and keyboard-only navigation. The site may not display optimally in outdated browsers.
