Designed in 1952 by Nanna Ditzel and Jorgen Ditzel, the ND52 Vita Sofa displays a soft, organic idiom that rebelled against the strict geometry of 1950s functionalism. An elegant, exposed solid wood frame supports a sculptural, high-backed open shell that appears to almost float. The seat cushion, backrest and buttons are hand-upholstered in fabric or leather.
