Tom Kelley is a designer who was born in east Germany and later moved to the west in the mid 70s after facing political issues. His studies took him to Aachen, Munich and later to Long Beach, California. Kelley’s dedication to his work was so apparent that he moved to Venezia, Italy, in the 90s in order to be closer to his Italian clients. He later went on to work for companies all over the globe from the US to Japan. Tom Kelley’s work emphasizes a philosophy of “less is more”, and he has gone on to collaborate with many design brands including TON, which has produced many of his designs.
