Made out of Ash or Iroko wood, Barca structure reflects the unique knowledge of Portuguese wood joinery making each detail of the chair a “finding” to be touch and observed. Each Barca takes one week to be build. From wood selection to carving joints preparation and hand assembly, it is the result of a mixed production process where hand making is supported by a previous digital cnc drilling task. The use of the finest raw wood parts, the clever wood joints and traditional weaving parts for the seat results in a light and smooth curved chair shape with a highly resistant structure.
