Our series of Hem Rugs puts post-consumer plastic bottles to good use: each sustainable design is made from repurposed PET-yarn, giving you a soft yet durable finish that works as well in your home as it does outdoors. The series’ flat-weave mat is detailed with asymmetrical rows of fringed trim that underscore its artisanal feel.

With the help of specialized technology, the Hem series presents a sustainable line of textiles made entirely of post-consumer plastic bottles. Each Hem Mat is made using 31 bottles. This technique gives you incredibly durable designs while helping to clean up the oceans. Rugs, cushions and mats made from plastic may not initially sound like a textile that is soft to the touch, but with the Hem series won’t leave you longing for virgin wool. Not only are the textiles practical, easily cleaned and suitable for outdoor use, they also feel just as lovely as any other similar design.
