Rapson Cave Chair
Going through the impeccable furniture sketches of mid century architect Ralph Rapson could possibly be one of the best ways to spend a cold winter afternoon in Minnesota. Loll found his Cave Chair illustration and immediately thought it would be a great collaboration piece that fit the Loll aesthetic. Ralph originally conceived this chair in 1943 as plywood with a cushion, but it was never actually produced. Perfectly over-sized, futuristic, comfortable, and fun, the Cave Chair will induce hours of conversation whether you're sitting in it or just walking by. Named after the earth-excavated Cave House that Ralph designed with Dave Runnells in 1939, it too was never built.
