Born and raised in New York, Aimée spent her school holidays exploring the fashion showrooms where her parents both worked. It was through this submersion in the world of fashion and textiles, where Aimée developed the foundation for her diverse interest in design and trends. Immediately following graduation from the School of The Art Institute of Chicago in 2001, Aimée began working as a freelance graphic designer. Aimée has also worked as an in-house designer for several firms including Designspace, Dwell, and Martha Stewart Living. Over the past several years, Aimée has designed for Bed Bath and Beyond, Crate and Barrel, Urban Outfitters, Dwell, Dwellbaby, Martha Stewart Living, MTV Cribs, Skip Hop, and Gap Kids. In 2008, Aimee signed a licensing agreement with Vans to feature three of her designs for both shoes and accessories. Most recently, two of Aimee’s designs have been licensed for use on novelty band-aids. Aimée draws her inspiration from both contemporary graphic art and the design world; influences include typography, logo design, illustration, textiles, urban toy design and rock poster art. Aimée's projects include designs for home textiles and accessories, fashion and print, along with numerous exciting collaborations to be announced in the coming months. Concurrently, Aimee works on commissioned art pieces in a broad range of applications from hand-screened one-of-a-kind prints to outdoor sculpture.
