Materials: Natural hand-woven caned seat. Certified wood frame: natural poplar, painted poplar, and natural or clear-coat Maple wood. All finishes are Lead-free, HAPS free, low to no VOC and water borne/soluble.
Notes: Chair frame available in finish options. Caned seat in natural finish only.

A need for simple, affordable furniture was the ultimate goal for the STAACH Cain Collection. The Cain Collection is the first production piece to truly encompass every form of sustainability in manufacturing and design from STAACH. Sustainably forested, certified wood is sourced in the US, then fabricated in STAACH's New York workshop.

All fabrication for these pieces is simple and done completely in-house with a limited use of only two tools. This extreme reduction in tool use has helped achieve an even higher level of sustainability by not using more human energy.
