- Materials: Clear coat 1/2 inch eco-friendly birch plywood.
- Notes: Made in USA. Construction Details: Miller dowels are used to insure strong joints. Comes with white painted body, natural birch top, painted bird/chick lid, and walnut wood veneer applique for beak and legs. Natural birch interior of box. The wing cut-out acts as the hand-held opening for lifting the lid. Entire box is coated with low voc, water-based polyurethane for sheen and protection.

Mod Mom founder, Kiersten Hathcock, is a stay-at-home mom turned self-taught furniture designer & builder. After leaving the corporate world in 2003, to spend more time with her kids, Kiersten rekindled a passion for woodworking. Her father, a self-taught carpenter and woodworker, built most of her family's furniture growing up, and she learned from tinkering around in his garage workshop. Thirty-some years later, Kiersten works from her own workshop where she designs and produces her modern/mid-century inspired kids' furniture.
The Bertie Box is a perfect storage option for the short set -- it's low to the ground, on casters so it moves easily about the house , and puzzle piece top makes putting toys away more fun!
