How many times have you gone to a party, thrown your coat on a bed with the other coats, and had visions of some scene out of "Sex and the City" occurring in that very spot later in the evening? On your coat?!? Maybe it's just us, the 20/20 where they blacklit motel rooms has stuck with us for life.
Regardless, a modern coat rack is good for all of us.
OK, even if you don't share our coats-on-the-bed neurosis, think of your routine when you walk in or out the door. Either your coats are hung in a cramped closet somewhere where you will need to hang them back up, or you just toss them carelessly wherever there's an open spot on the floor. Either option winds up being a pain.
Try the best option - get a modern coat rack and stick it next to the door. Not only will your place be neat, but uptight guests will find it easier to chill out.
