emma gardner design
Emma Gardner came to rug design after a successful career as an editor and illustrator in New York City. Born in Kyoto, Japan, she grew up in Connecticut, where she returned just a few years ago with her studio, Emma Gardner Design. She developed her unique sense of color and composition in creating cover art and illustrations for a variety of prestigious publications, and in her own handmade books, including I View, which was exhibited at the Parsons School of Design's Gimbel Library.
