Emeco presents "Nine-0", a new collection of chairs and stools by the Italian designer, Ettore Sottsass. The Nine-0 collection made its debut in Milan at the 2008 Salone Internazionale del Mobile, this April. These new designs re-imagine the classic, all aluminum Emeco 1006 NavyŽ chair, built for submarines in WWII, and manufactured by Emeco since 1944. The Nine-0 collection are the last chairs designed by Mr. Sottsass, who died on December 31, 2007 at the age of 90.
The Nine-0 Stacking Armchair comes in a choice of a hand brushed or hand polished aluminum frame, with an integrally colored, soft polyurethane seat and back. Stacks 6 chairs high.
