Twin beds are designed not to take up much room--that's the point. (Otherwise you'd be buying a queen, right?) Then it makes sense that a twin bed could be a platform bed, like the Ayres twin bed from Argington. Platform beds are more about lines and planes than box-spring beds are, and Ayres bed is a geometer's dream. If you don't like the airy look (or need another bed), a trundle bed is available and tucks away under the bed on casters.

Good design is green design. Argington uses 99% wood products in it's furniture, with virtually no mdf, particle board, flake board or other similar engineered wood products. The wood comes from managed renewable forrests established specifically to provide long-term responsible solutions towards the growing demand of timber related products - FSC certified. The finishes are non-toxic and can withstand the test of time. Aside from the solid wood components, the birch plywood used in all Argington products are made with low emission glues which nearly eliminate long term emissions and offgasing.

• Trundle bed available (mattress used for trundle should be no more than 6-inches thick). Trundle pulls on casters from under bed. Sold separately
• Optional removable guard rails are available. Rails feature metal to metal connectors so they may be attached and reattached as needed. Connection is located on inner rail of the bed frame and remains hidden from view at all times.
• Mattress supports are ventilated for foam mattresses and accepts all standard twin size mattresses (39"x 75")
