Cram

Cram! You got papers to write and deadlines to meet - dedicate an area in your dorm room or first apartment to get it all done sans distraction. If your dorm room came with a desk already installed well then good for you - move right along and check out the organizational options we've provided in the column second from the left.

Workstations

If you need a desk, there's a few great workstations for you to choose from: The Blu Dot Chicago Desk is great for architects and designers because of its large work surface area and storage compartment. Or, check out the Blu Dot Paperclip Desk and Offi Wave Desk - each beautiful and functional.

Organizers

Clutter is a killer. It leads to procrastination and then means two things: lost opportunity and lost time. Desk organizers like the 2d:3d Letter Holder and 2d:3d In & Out Box and can solve the problem. If you're a design student or artist you'll really, really like the Mio Grid Wall Pocket. This fantastic organizer is about the size of a poster. It's made from recycled felt (good for the environment) and will hold all your pens, drafting pencils and design rags with ease. It'll also adds a splash of color to the drab walls of your studio.

Finally, if you prefer a more unconventional work area - one that goes wherever you want it to, check out the Offi Overlap Tray. By the way that's Matt in the picture (Design Public's creative / web guru). He swears by it.
