  1. Inspired by the Nordic culture of using candlelight and the cast iron arts and crafts of the 1950s, Francis Cayouette has created candlesticks that feature a recognisable design and pay tribute to industrial craftsmanship and to the Nordic traditions. The uneven, almost cold surface gives the Heima candlestick character, while the rounded shapes make the design modern. Francis Cayouette says: "The concept of 'cosiness' varies from person to person. For me the Nordic tradition of using candlelight is synonymous with cosiness. Arts and crafts must have a recognisability and a history and cast iron is an exciting raw material with history. It was natural to extend the Heima series and create different candlesticks for different types of candles". The minimalist candlesticks are sculptural and make an elegant and stylish accompaniment to both modern and classic decors. IF Product Design Award, 2010.

  3. A contemporary remake of a classic chair, Thalya combines simplicity and strong graphic design. This polycarbonate chair has sinuous, elegant, soft and almost feminine lines. Made using gas-injection technology, Thalya has rounded edges, hollow legs and a unique "reticular" pattern along the seat and backrest. Its subtle graphics give Thalya's minimal and elegant shape movement and highlights, amplifying its ethereal fascination. 4. The Rocking Glass is a sturdy and fun glass that you can use for almost everything. It has a specially designed curved bottom, which allows the glass to tilt back and forth without the content spilling. The rounded bottom also makes it comfortable to hold in the hand as you can both grip around the bottom or cradle it in your hand like a sphere. Rocking Glass is a great conversation piece and is a fresh take on a traditional tumbler. The glass is designed to be robust enough to hold both cool and hot drinks. Use it for cocktails or as a decorative accessory. Or, do like they do at the MoMA café in New York; use it for that extra tasty dessert.
