Recap
Wowzers. We have been through a lot and I am sure your head is bursting trying to pinpoint exactly which direction you want to take your walls. Maybe it will help to do a little recap:
1.) Remember the basics. Consider your furniture, your color tones, your style, your lighting. Don’t get overly excited and attack the walls without a plan. Find a friend to help with your arrangement and sketch out a few ideas before you start.
2.) Think about what style would work for your space and also what best displays your personality.
Do you….
Like order and structure? Consider a single piece of art or a symmetrical arrangement.
Like a collection of numerous pieces? Maybe an asymmetrical display, collage, or a picture rail would do you wise.
Like texture and character aside from a traditional painting or poster? Wallter wall applications or Inhabit Wall Flats will do it for you without the need for a hammer and nail.
Like art that offers a purpose while also looking good? Think lightboxes, clocks, coat racks, hanging panels, window films, wall organizers, etc.
Or, maybe you fancy all of the above. If you have a variety of walls try a little bit of everything!
There is no finite science to how you adorn your walls. The only requirements are that you enjoy the pieces you choose and you are able to get a bit of pleasure or feeling of accomplishment in putting your space together. Simply stated.
Take a look at our Wall Art section of our website as well as our Home Accessories category for ideas. Also, don’t forget our “Modern Wall Art Inspiration” group on Flickr to help you get going. Take whatever piece of inspiration hits you and run with it.
