  2. Norm Steel Clock is a light and unadorned clock with steel hands. The Metal Wall Clock is a celebration of materiality, colour, and simplicity. Reducing the clock to its most essential elements, the designers are focused on the simple hands and the round clock face. Norm Architects was founded in 2008. Norm works with residential architecture, commercial interiors, industrial design, photography, graphics and art direction. The name Norm signifies the importance of drawing inspiration from norms and traditions, within the fields of architecture and aesthetics, having been refined through the centuries. Norm makes a virtue of focusing on quality, durability and timelessness. Their objective is designs applying good materials and craftsmanship whilst embodying beauty, traditions and history; and, most importantly, they want their designs to outlive fleeting trends. The clock is available in 2 material combinations – A mirror-polished steel version and a brushed-brass version. The smooth finish makes the clock unobtrusive, and it was designed to be an enduring and timeless addition to a home. The clock can be used in living rooms or offices as well as in dining rooms or kitchens.

  3. For the tube clock, Piet Hein Eek’s starting point was a tube and an extrusion ring. Extrusion moulding is a design technique involving forcing aluminium, or paste for example, through a mould, the extrusion profile is what gives the material its shape. Piet devised a ring like that for the design of the clock face. We could not believe that such a thing did not already exist. It’s such a simple idea. we searched like mad, but it had not yet been done. Often, a good idea can be surprisingly simple. The simplest solutions have not yet been invented. This clock could have been designed a century ago. It is actually a textbook example of the Dutch mentality: the idea of keeping things normal and down-to Earth.
