  5. The Organic Chair – a small and comfortable reading chair – was developed in several versions for the 1940 ‘Organic Design in Home Furnishings’ competition organised by the Museum of Modern Art in New York. With its sculptural shapes, the design was ahead of the times. But due to the absence of suitable manufacturing techniques, the armchair never went into production. Not until 1950 did it become possible to manufacture and market organically shaped seat shells in large quantities, as exemplified by Charles and Ray Eames's famous Plastic Armchair or Saarinen's Tulip Chair. The Organic Chair is also available in a version with an extended backrest and longer, wider armrests – the Organic Highback armchair.

  6. The architect and designer Alexander Girard was one of the leading figures in American design during the postwar era. His passion for colours, patterns and textures found expression in the field of textile design, which was a focal part of his oeuvre. In his work, Girard paired motifs from folk art sources with abstract patterns. Many of his figures and patterns exude a cheery playfulness, and thanks to their vivid colours, even his simplest graphic motifs possess a high degree of differentiation. The Graphic Print Pillows are now bringing a number of these designs to life again: abstract graphics and expressive figurative motifs create striking accents. The soft pillows are optimally suited as a decorative accessory for a diverse range of interior styles. In addition to the Graphic Print Pillows, the collection also includes the Maharam Pillows and the Classic Maharam Pillows. The inkjet-printed washable pillow covers are made of 100% cotton.

  8. In addition to a range of pots and a frying pan, Eva Solo’s new Gravity series includes a number of new kitchen utensils that make cooking much easier. The utensils can hang on the edges of all Eva Solo’s Gravity pots and the frying pan, preventing drips from landing on the worktop while you are cooking.
“The nice thing about designing everyday objects is that we all recognise those little problems that irritate us day after day,” says Claus Jensen from Tools Eva Solo A/S is a Danish-owned design company which develops, manufactures and markets a wide range of high-quality products for the home and kitchen. The company has following well-known brands Eva Solo, Eva Solo XO Collection, Eva Trio and Eva. “For example, most people will have experienced standing in the kitchen and asking themselves why nobody has solved this or that particular problem. It is precisely this irritating problem of finding water and sauce on the worktop every time we cook which has inspired us to design this new series of kitchen utensils for Eva Solo.”
The series consists of five different utensils: a palette, a large serving spoon, a small serving spoon, a ladle and a pasta spoon. All the utensils are made of stainless steel and silicone and are being launched in two colours – Flame and Grey. The utensils are heat-resistant to 220°C, and are dishwasher-safe.
