Keeping wine cool on a warm summer’s evening is sometimes a challenge. However, with Eva Solo’s new wine carafe you can calmly put the white wine on the table and leave the ice cubes in the freezer. The carafe comes with an insulating neoprene cover which keeps the wine cool, while its drip-free design ensures practical and elegant serving.
“We have designed a functional wine carafe for the dining table which makes it easy to serve white wine and keep it cool without detracting from its elegance,” says Henrik Holbæk from the designer duo Tools, which is behind the design. The carafe is also suitable for serving bag-in-box wine.
“The carafe is easy to fill – even from a bag-in-box – and fits in most fridge doors, on top of which it is a decorative element on the table. You avoid all the hassle of serving wine directly from a box – just take the carafe out of the fridge and place it directly on the table,” says the designer.
The carafe holds 75 cl – the same as an ordinary wine bottle – and the practical silicone stopper ensures that not a drop will be spilled when carrying the carafe around. The carafe is made of glass and is dishwasher-safe. The neoprene cover can be machine-washed on a delicates program at 30°C.
