  6. Verner Panton, born 1926 in Gamtofte, Denmark, studied at Odense Technical College before enrolling at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts in Copenhagen as an architecture student. He worked from 1950-52 in the architectural firm of Arne Jacobsen, and founded an independent studio for architecture and design in 1955. His furniture designs for the firm Plus-linje attracted attention with their geometric forms. In the following years Panton created numerous designs for seating furniture and lighting. Panton's collaboration with Vitra began in the early 1960s, when the firm decided to develop what became his best-known design, the Panton Chair, which was introduced in 1967. This was also the first independently developed product by Vitra. Verner Panton died in 1998 in Copenhagen. Vitra's re-edition of designs by Panton, as well as the retrospective of his work mounted by the Vitra Design Museum in 2000, bear witness to the special relationship between Vitra and Verner Panton. **Price listed includes 4 chairs and the discounted Illumesa Table**

  7. In addition to a range of pots and a frying pan, Eva Solo’s new Gravity series includes a number of new kitchen utensils that make cooking much easier. The utensils can hang on the edges of all Eva Solo’s Gravity pots and the frying pan, preventing drips from landing on the worktop while you are cooking.
“The nice thing about designing everyday objects is that we all recognise those little problems that irritate us day after day,” says Claus Jensen from Tools Eva Solo A/S is a Danish-owned design company which develops, manufactures and markets a wide range of high-quality products for the home and kitchen. The company has following well-known brands Eva Solo, Eva Solo XO Collection, Eva Trio and Eva. “For example, most people will have experienced standing in the kitchen and asking themselves why nobody has solved this or that particular problem. It is precisely this irritating problem of finding water and sauce on the worktop every time we cook which has inspired us to design this new series of kitchen utensils for Eva Solo.”
The series consists of five different utensils: a palette, a large serving spoon, a small serving spoon, a ladle and a pasta spoon. All the utensils are made of stainless steel and silicone and are being launched in two colours – Flame and Grey. The utensils are heat-resistant to 220°C, and are dishwasher-safe.

  8. Are your old pots and saucepans looking worse for wear? Then give yourself and your kitchen a well-deserved present and a fresh start with the Gravity series – a brand new range of cookware from Eva Solo.
“With this new series of pots and pans which we have designed for Eva Solo, we have tried to find solutions to some of the problems caused by gravity when standing at the cooker – hence the name of the series,” says Claus Jensen from Tools. “In designing the series, we envisaged how the saucepan lid could rest on the edge of the saucepan, and we saw it as an innovative touch if the ladle could also hang on the edge, even when the lid is on the pot.”
The Gravity series consists of three pots in different sizes, a sauté pot and a frying pan with a non-stick Slip-Let coating and a range of kitchen utensils.
Pots with unique lids and encapsulated bases
Each lid for the pots in the Eva Solo Gravity series can rest on the edge of the pot, preventing sauce and water from dripping onto the table or worktop. Moreover, it is always possible to see the food in the pot because of the glass aperture. The lid also features a built-in steam vent as well as an integrated colander, making it much easier to drain the water from pasta and potatoes. In addition, the pot handles do not get hot. The series is being launched in two colours – Flame and Grey.
Each pot has an sandwich base, comprising two layers of stainless steel encapsulating an aluminium layer for optimum heat distribution. The pots are suitable for all cookers, including magnetic induction. Both the lids and the pots are dishwasher-safe.
