Louis Poulsen Doo-Wop Pendant

Regular Price: $480.00

Sale Price $408.00

WWWW
Originally introduced in the 1950s, the Doo-Wop Pendant was designed in close cooperation between the Navy Buildings Department and Louis Poulsen. The pendant was used for many years in the builidngs of the Navy for many different applications such as cateens and offices. The Navy Pendant, which was the name at that time, was widely used because of the unique lighting properties and utility. Not until the early 1980th the product was taken out of the Louis Poulsen catalogues. In recent years, more and more of the old editions have been sold again through antique stores and auctions. This has caused a demand and Louis Poulsen has been asked to re-launch the products. The new version is very close to the original. The shades are still and spun by hand and completed with the fine rolled edge which gives the shades a special opticial volume. The brass variant challenges the craftsman as it is spun from a solid brass plate and appears polished.

The fixture primarily provides a downward directed soft light by means of the white lacquered inner conical reflector. The outer reflector, the main shade, contributes to directing the light up- and downwards, while at the same time spreading the soft diffuse light. The inside of the main shade is illuminated through an opening in the inner conical reflector.

Vitra Girard Graphic Print Pillows - Eyes

Regular Price: $120.00

Sale Price $102.00

WWWW
The architect and designer Alexander Girard was one of the leading figures in American design during the postwar era. His passion for colours, patterns and textures found expression in the field of textile design, which was a focal part of his oeuvre.

In his work, Girard paired motifs from folk art sources with abstract patterns. Many of his figures and patterns exude a cheery playfulness, and thanks to their vivid colours, even his simplest graphic motifs possess a high degree of differentiation.

The Graphic Print Pillows are now bringing a number of these designs to life again: abstract graphics and expressive figurative motifs create striking accents. The soft pillows are optimally suited as a decorative accessory for a diverse range of interior styles.

In addition to the Graphic Print Pillows, the collection also includes the Maharam Pillows and the Classic Maharam Pillows.

The inkjet-printed washable pillow covers are made of 100% cotton.

Vitra East River Chair

Regular Price: $2,715.00

Sale Price $2,307.75

WWWW
Products designed by Hella Jongerius exhibit her unique manner of fusing industry and craft, high- and low-tech, traditional and modern – characteristics which are also evident in the East River Chair: with its distinctive form and casual combination of such diverse materials as wood, metal, leather and fabric, this small armchair clearly bears the Dutch designer's signature.

The colours of the East River Chair are carefully coordinated. Depending on the selection of colour combinations, the chair has a very different look, ranging from muted and calm to cheerful and bright. The choice of colours and materials is not based on purely aesthetic reasons: the practical leather covers protect the armrests from dirt and wear, and the thicker padding of the seat cushion, which extends up to the backrest, provides comfortable lumbar support. Thanks to the convenient strap handle on the rear side of the backrest, this compact armchair lends itself to flexible applications.

In 2013, Hella Jongerius and Vitra collaborated on the design of a chair for the North Delegates Lounge at the UN headquarters in New York. The development of the East River Chair was based on this design.

Vitra Panton Junior Chair

Regular Price: $150.00

Sale Price $127.50

WWWW
With its bright, cheerful colours and smooth curves, the Panton Chair has always been a favourite of children – both as a chair and as a plaything. This led Verner Panton to consider the the idea of producing a child-size version of the chair together with Vitra over 35 years ago.

Proving impossible at the time for economic reasons, this aim was finally achieved in 2008 with the introduction of Panton Junior, a chair based on the designer's original plans. Identical to the regular model with regard to material and shape, the children's chair is approximately 25 percent smaller than the full-size Panton Chair. This makes Panton Junior, which is available in six different colours, an ideal chair for children in nursery and elementary school.

Vitra Panton C1 Chair

Regular Price: $2,545.00

Sale Price $2,163.25

WWWW
The design career of Verner Panton reached its first peak toward the end of the 1950s. With a furniture series based on simple geometric shapes, Panton anticipated elements of Pop Art, while also emulating the elegance of Scandinavian Modernism in the execution of the bases. The most famous designs from this series are the Cone Chair and the Heart Cone Chair.
The contemporaneously designed C1 armchair marks Verner Panton's first use of a spherical section for one of his seats. Mounted with a slight tilt on a swivel base, the upholstered seat shell is astonishingly comfortable – for leaning back in a relaxed posture as well as sitting upright.
