The Barcelona Bird Feeder is a combined birdbath and bird table, made from hardwood acacia and inspired by one of Mies van der Rohe's absolute masterpieces - the renowned Barcelona Pavilion from the 1929 Expo.
"Mies van der Rohe as an icon of modern architecture was the source of inspiration for this unique design. It is important for us to push boundaries and let originality rule - without limitations. A bird pavilion with style of this magnitude clears the road for even more original thinking," says Bjarne Hansen, Creative Director at MENU.
The birdbath - a beautiful black basin that highlights the signature acacia wood - can easily be separated from the table, cleaned and refilled. The bird table is elegantly placed under the roof of the pavilion where the bird feed can be placed securely on two spikes.
