In our family we really appreciate Christmastime and we always look forward to Christmas Eve.
Unfortunately, the enjoyment of Christmas tree is very short as needles quickly fall off. We wish that the Christmas tree could stand inside throughout December. The background we started making the Filigrantræ, was on a cold and clear November evening. After several drawings and developments our Christmas tree became Filigrantræ.
Our children Sille and Frederik are extremely excited about our Filigrantræ. In our home the Filigrantræ is used as an advent´s calendar, carrying daily presents during December. The Filigrantræ is also used by people who are allergic to pine needles. The tree is sustainable and aesthetic. It can be taken apart and reused year after year.

  1. Filigrantrae means "filigree tree" in Danish and is a contemporary pared down "real" tree made of solid untreated and unfinished Birch. Denmark is a major exporter of Christmas trees to other European countries but in recent years they have seen a shortage. So, we are pleased to find a natural version which can be reused year after year. Filigrantrae is the brainchild of Trine and Peter Find. Trine makes each tree one at a time and judging from the popularity of the Filigrantrae she will be busy getting ready for Christmas this year. The tree arrives in a slim cotton bag and can be assembled in less time than it takes to make a cup of coffee. No hardware, no tools are required, and the instructions so simple they are optional. Take-down is just as easy. Just remember where you store it after the holidays, as it's so compact you might forget where you placed it! **Please note, quantities are limited!
