One of my favorite bad jokes: "Why are French omelettes made with only one egg? Because in France, 'one egg' is un oeuf. " (I have a weakness for very bad jokes. ) Allow me to kill the joke with an explanation: oeuf is the French word for "egg. " Which makes it a particularly apt name for a nursery design company, especially one with French and American roots. When Sophie Demenge and Michael Ryan became parents, they realized there was no way for them to merge their own aesthetic tastes with a nursery outfitted according to their available options.
