I have a theory. (Stick with me, folks.) I theorize that H.G. Wells really had a time machine, and that he used it to visit our time. He got here, saw Lights Up! Squire lamps everywhere, and just kind of assumed they had taken over. What he didn't understand was how, so when he got back home he tried to come up with some story to explain it. But since he was a science fiction writer, he didn't come up with the easy answer--they're an extraordinary combination of cute and stylish, they're graceful, and they're practical--instead he came up with The War of the Worlds. But we can let you in on the truth here: it's perfectly safe for you to take a Pops Squire lamp home with you. In fact we recommend it.
