Hygge & West

In their daily conversations, Christiana and Aimee often found themselves discussing ways to live more simply. Both believe in being more appreciative of small joys and living in the moment. As fate would have it, they stumbled upon the Danish word hygge just as they began to discuss a way to share this concept with others. They love the way that it simply yet profoundly captured what they were trying to achieve in their own lives. While hygge manifests itself differently for each person, it is ultimately about living better. By collaborating with artists and discovering new ways of joyful living, Christiana and Aimee hope that Hygge & West will inspire you to create more hygge in your own life.

Pattern People For Hygge & West - Underwater World in Blue

Starting at: $6.00

The deep sea is like an alien landscape full of strange, exotic creatures that have only recently been discovered. When the designers of Pattern People saw this world on a BBC documentary, they immediately got to work drawing all of the fascinating life: translucent amphipods, fish with giant eyes that can see in the darkest depths, and jellyfish with rainbow rows of lights. From these drawings, they created a modern wallpaper version of the ocean floor. Now, you can live surrounded by creatures of the deep.

Designed by Pattern People in Portland and screen printed in Chicago on coated paper manufactured in the USA, this high quality paper is extremely durable and is fade resistant. The Hygge & West classic screen printing technique creates luxe wallpapers that feel hand painted.
